# About Us

### SportSpar

The home for smart shoppers

Every day, the SportSpar team gives its all to bring you genuine brand-name clothing at bargain prices. Behind the scenes are passionate sports enthusiasts who founded SportSpar GmbH in August 2010. Since then, we've grown from a niche retailer into a leading German player in the e-commerce league. Successful away games — like selling sportswear via Amazon and eBay — led to the launch of our online shop in July 2011. Ever since, we've been offering you genuine branded overstock at unbeatable prices.

### Why is everything here so affordable?

New shop visitors ask us this question again and again, and we can answer it very simply: SportSpar deals in seasonal and outlet stock. The clothing and other items offered on [SportSpar.de](http://SportSpar.de) are exclusively overstock. Honestly, who really notices the difference between last year's fashion and the current collection, and does it even matter? Whether the Nike jogging pants are from last season or this year, it doesn't really matter – both offer the same great brand quality. But when you buy overstock from us, you save a whole lot of money! So the clothing is anything but fake and, of course, 100% original from the manufacturer. Our buying team is on the hunt every day for new outlet stock and great deals for you.

### Still not quite convinced?

Take a moment to check out the SportSpar reviews on [Trustpilot](https://de.trustpilot.com/review/sportspar.de) and [ausgezeichnet.org](http://ausgezeichnet.org). The SportSpar experiences shared there give you an independent picture. We've also been certified by [TÜV Saarland](https://www.tuev-saar.de/zertifikat/sc43361/) following extensive customer surveys. Feedback from our SportSpar customers matters a lot to us. Day after day, they confirm we're doing something right. Via Instagram, Facebook and more, they send us comments, photos and videos of their latest bargain finds. If you're ever unhappy with a delivered product, simply get in touch with [SportSpar customer service](https://www.sportspar.de/kontaktformular). The team is happy to help with any questions about your order.

### Honestly, can you even survive on such low prices?

Don't worry! We buy the branded goods we offer in very large quantities. Since most of it is seasonal stock and discontinued models, we can offer you brand products at extremely low prices. The fact that our business model works is proven by our steady growth over the past years — at our site in Eilenburg we now employ 110 people, and counting.

### Positive SportSpar experiences reflect our growth

Not only has the number of employees grown sharply in recent years, the number of our regular customers keeps growing steadily too. In the meantime, we've grown so much that we moved to Eilenburg. Here we have significantly larger warehouse capacity. Thanks to our logistics partners and our proximity to the Leipzig business hub — with its airport, rail and motorway links — we can also deliver your goods even faster. We passed the 5-million-parcels-shipped mark long ago, and we hope to soon count you among our regular customers too.

### Become a smart shopper too

With our exceptional outlet model, we've grown year after year since 2010 and been able to delight more and more people with affordable branded clothing. We really hope we've also convinced you of SportSpar's credibility and cleared up any doubts about fake goods due to the low prices. Haven't ordered from us yet? Then take a look around the [SportSpar online shop](https://www.sportspar.de/) now, and soon you could be one of the satisfied customers of [SportSpar.de](http://SportSpar.de). Become part of our unique community! Has SportSpar won you over not just as an online shop, but also as an innovative, forward-thinking company? ### The Success Story of SportSpar.com

SportSpar GmbH was founded in August 2010 by twin brothers Aleksandr and Yevgeny Borisenko. They are originally from Vilnius, but moved to Thuringia as children and began selling athletic shoes through platforms like eBay and Amazon while still in school. With a starting capital of just 400 euros, they opened their own online store, [SportSpar.de](http://SportSpar.de), in 2011.

SportSpar’s business model is based on selling clearance items and last year’s collections from renowned sports brands such as Adidas, Nike, and Puma. By purchasing directly from manufacturers and distributors, the company is able to offer high-quality sports apparel and shoes at significantly reduced prices.

SportSpar, based in Eilenburg near Leipzig, operates a 12,000 m² warehouse that stores more than 15,000 brand-name items. By 2025, the company had grown to more than 100 employees and had become one of Germany’s leading online outlets for sports apparel.

In 2024, SportSpar achieved record revenue of approximately 33 million euros, representing 30 percent growth compared to the previous year. This growth was achieved despite general economic challenges, underscoring the stability and appeal of the business model.

SportSpar has received multiple awards for its achievements, including “Top SME Employer 2020” and “Growth Champion 2020” from the business magazine FOCUS-Business.
